SUMMARY:Stewart Island timestamp - paired VR and collage workshop
DESCRIPTION:Two-part Paired Workshop\n\n1. Stewart Island TimestampThis VR workshop will start with prompts that encourage participants to imagine the region from the perspective of different mythological\, historical\, non-human\, or future human perspectives. It will take place in a virtual environment that is a 360 degree copy of a nearby outdoor area. Participants will then draw in 3D using the Openbrush app on VR to build a constructed memory or imagined place according to the prompts. The activity will be done in pairs – two people will work in the same space at once.\n\n2. Abstract Collage – Portrait Mapping ExerciseParticipants will pair up and receive a series of pre-cut paper fragments that fit together with their partner’s like a puzzle. Each person will explore their partner’s memories and inner visual worlds through a series of interview prompts. They will create abstract collages on each fragment based on these insights and then combine their fragments to form a cohesive final piece\, representing new connections and visual languages.
