DESCRIPTION:Rakiura Toy Library is the community toy library for Rakiura residents and visiting families. Run by a small number of passionate individuals\, determined to enrich our children with quality\, sustainable toys at as low a cost to families and to the planet. The Toy Library aims to provide a good range of toys for children from birth to teens.  \nEach fortnight between approximately 10 and 11am\, a session is hosted where you can come in with or without your kids to borrow and return toys. A small amount of children’s clothing is available to purchase for a small donation. We have a free seed library. \nWe are a volunteer run Toy Library. To find out more about joining our Toy Library volunteer team\, have a chat with one of the team; Liz Cave\, Alina Atkins\, Carolin Loefller\, Karin Lewis and Bridget Carter.  \nWe hope you and your family enjoy the experience. DESCRIPTION:Future Rakiura and Stewart Island Health Committee have been bringing resources and workshops across to increase support for island wellness. \nMental health: we all have it- it’s our emotional wellbeing to look after\, that contributes to the bigger picture of how to thrive\, not just to cope.  \nWe’re interested in strengthening the existing community resilience here since collecting survey results which highlighted the need for increased support for mental health. DESCRIPTION:We’d like to invite you to join us to explore further Rakiura’s coastal heritage past\, present\, and future!\n\nIf you made an ‘ARTefact’ that became part of the community midden artwork during the September workshop\, we invite you to join us in a social mapping activity at 3:00 geolocating your prints on a map of Stewart Island\, after which you are welcome to take home your prints.\nStudents from Half Moon Bay School will be sharing their work on a storymap of Stewart Island’s coastal heritage during the showcase as well as our summary of ideas from the September printmaking workshop\, and some initial sea level rise mapping for the town of Oban.\n\nWe would love for you to join us in continuing to engage with Stewart Island’s coastal heritage. DESCRIPTION:Rakiura Toy Library is the community toy library for Rakiura residents and visiting families. Run by a small number of passionate individuals\, determined to enrich our children with quality\, sustainable toys at as low a cost to families and to the planet. The Toy Library aims to provide a good range of toys for children from birth to teens.  \nEach fortnight between approximately 10 and 11am\, a session is hosted where you can come in with or without your kids to borrow and return toys. A small amount of children’s clothing is available to purchase for a small donation. We have a free seed library. \nWe are a volunteer run Toy Library. To find out more about joining our Toy Library volunteer team\, have a chat with one of the team; Liz Cave\, Alina Atkins\, Carolin Loefller\, Karin Lewis and Bridget Carter.  \nWe hope you and your family enjoy the experience. This is your library and we need your ideas to make it work. Please tell us if you have any toy or other suggestions\, queries or concerns.
