Who we are
Future Rakiura is an Incorporated Society in Aoetearoa New Zealand. A small group of like-minded local residents of Stewart Island/Rakiura have come together to find ways to support our community. The community calendar is one of our projects and aims to consolidate and streamline information on what’s happening when and where. This way locals and visitors alike have an easy way to know what’s happening on Rakiura.

Visitor statistics
We use the WP-Statistics plugin to gather data about visitors to the website including the following:
– Number of page visits (hits)
– Operating system used
– Web browser used
– Country and city
– Search engine referrals
– Pages visited
This helps us to understand our visitation patterns and customise the website to suite particular browsers and operating systems as well as optimise our search engine rank.
Note that visitors IP addresses are anonymized and we do not have visibility of these.
Note this plugin is enabled to respect the “Do Not Track” browser setting. If a Do Not Track setting is detected we will not gather any data from that visit.
